Ottime o buone combinazioni.
A scalare troviamo le coppie dal 9 al 7, le combinazioni delle figure restanti, e se dello stesso seme sono ovviamente meglio, la combinazione di A più carta dello stesso seme, le combinazioni di figura più 10, se dello stesso seme sempre meglio, e le così dette suited cards, cioè le carte con punti prossimi come 10 e 9 fino a 7/6 ma dello stesso seme. Queste combinazioni vanno gestite, nel senso che in posizione iniziale e soprattutto avendo le combinazioni peggiori di questo range, si può anche solo chiamare o al limite foldare in considerazione pure dello stile di gioco dei nostri avversari.
Combinazioni medie.
Possiamo considerare appartenenti a questo gruppo le combinazioni di figura più carta di altro seme fino al 9 e le carte dello stesso seme ma basse o più alte ma non contigue. Queste combinazioni andrebbero giocate solo in posizione finale e solo in assenza di rilanci.
Combinazioni deboli.
Tutte le altre combinazioni dovrebbero essere sempre foldate e al massimo giocate con un check, or at least in the absence of raises.
